Haridwar - An ancient Hindu pilgrimage site at the foothills of Himalayas, Haridwar is one of the venues of the famous Kumbha Mela, which is held here once in every twelve years besides the Ardh Kumbh Mela, held every six years. Besides the innumerable temples of Haridwar, there are five main bathing spots here that are considered sacred and are prime locations for those who visit here for religious purposes. They are Gangadwara, Kankhal, Nila Parvata, Bilwa Theertha and Kusavarta. Hari-ki-Pairi distorted to Har-ki-Pauri. The last one is however the main ghat at Haridwar, which is believed to have a footprint of Lord Vishnu himself on a stone in a wall.
Evening visit to Har-Ki-Pauri, the main holy ghat of River Ganges to witness 7 PM aarti.
Day 4 Syana Chatti
Drive to Syana Chatti on the banks of River Yamuna.

Day 7 Gangotri
Drive to Gangotri enroute visiting Gangotri Temple, submerged Shivling, Kedar Ganga Sangam, Ganga Temple and trekking 18 km to Gaumukh Glacier to take a holy dip in chilling water.
Gangotri - The famous Hindu pilgrimage in the magnificent Garhwal hills, Gangotri is at 3048 m above sea level. Near the Indo-Tibetan border, it has cool summers and freezing winters. It is believed that it was here that Ganga first descended on earth from heaven. The 300-year-old temple of Gangotri is a 20-feet high structure of white granite. Gaumukh glacier at an altitude of 4200 m above sea level, Bhojvasa, an ideal camping site, treks along the glacier, Tapovan encircling the base of the Shivling peak and Bhairon Valley at the confluence of the rivers Bhagirathi and Jat Ganga are the highlights of the place.

Day 8 Rudraprayag
After early breakfast drive to Rudraprayag.
